I was searching for a new face wash while visiting Tokyo with my wife recently. We visited @Cosme, a chain beauty store in Tokyo, and browsed around for a few hours until I found a cleansing foam from Clé De Peau Beauté.

The French-inspired Japanese brand is known for its luxury makeup and skincare products. I decided to grab Clé De Peau Beauté gentle foaming cleanser since it was a few thousand yen cheaper than my go-to SK2 brand, plus my points on my @Cosme app brought it down a bit more.

At first, I was a bit skeptical after spending 7,260 yen for a brand I had never heard of, but my wife insisted.

Since my complexion tends to run a bit oily, my regimen includes a pre-wash. As a secondary cleansing step, the Clé De Peau Beauté cleanser feels incredibly smooth and because it does not contain harsh exfoliants, it is gentle on my skin. I’ve been using it for some time now and I can tell the difference in how it cleanses my pores and how it has controlled the oiliness of my skin.

I would recommend this brand for those who have sensitive or dry skin. Overall, this new cleanser is nice and comes in a large tube and not much is needed per wash so I feel like 7,260 yen can go a long way.

This item is sold in @Cosme stores around Japan and online.
