VIDEO| Speakin’ Japanese lesson: Take a break from this heat with some cold somen
It's already September, but that hot days continue and are really affecting my appetite. What are you going to eat for lunch today?
Today's Japanese phrase is:
"Ohiruwa somen ni shimasho." = Let's have somen for lunch.
("ohiru" = noon/lunch, "somen" = thin, white Japanese cold noodle, .. ".. wa..ni shimasho" = Let's have/make.. for..)
So, in the same way, you can say "Ohiruwa tempura ni shimasho." (Let's have tempura for lunch), as well.
Let's enjoy cold Japanese noodles to cool you down!
Stay safe and cool. Autumn is just around the corner!
