Yokota 6th-grader breaking barriers in wrestling

Yokota Middle School 6th-grade rookie wrestler Alyssa Goodman, pictured in the blue singlet, earned her first-ever Freestyle win and pin with 0:22 remaining at a tournament hosted on Saturday by The American School in Japan located in Chofu, Tokyo, approximately 19 km east of Yokota Air Base. Goodman came away with a silver medal. She is one of the first middle school girls to wrestle in DODEA Pacific. 

The season finale tournament will take place at St. Mary's International School on Saturday, Jan. 30.
