Upsilon Lambda Lambda Chapter Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. awards High School Talent Hunt Winners
Eight high school students from the Kanto Plain recently competed for cash awards during the 2021 Virtual Talent Hunt sponsored by the Brothers of Upsilon Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Performances by the participants included solo, acting narrative, art, poetry, and musical instruments.
Judges, Bro. Scottie Jarrett, Bro. George Garrison, Bro. Paul Jordan, and Bro. Charles Hicks selected the following winners based upon originality, showmanship, presentation, and overall performance:
1st Place Winner $750 – Ashton Williams from Yokota High School
2nd Place Winner $500 - Jazmyne Aquino from Nile C. Kinnick High School
3rd Place Winner $250 – Mila Cabradilla from Nile C. Kinnick High School
The Brothers of Upsilon Lambda Lambda Chapter also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to teacher Mr. Travis Stevens at Nile C. Kinnick High School for his assistance in coordinating the Talent Hunt event and inspiring students to always do their best inside and out of the classroom.
Ashton Williams will represent Upsilon Lambda Lambda Chapter in the 13th International District High School Talent Hunt Competition. The winners will be announced later this spring.
