We are working on the “SASEBO Project in English”, a project promoted by Sasebo City. As part of this, we are active as a sports exchange team.

In order to create opportunities to interact with foreigners through events unique to Sasebo, such as sports in a broad sense including recreation, this team conducts international exchange events and international exchange hikes.

Members include general citizens, Americans, school teachers including ALTs (Assistant Language Teachers), and elementary and junior high school students participate as administrative assistants during events. High school students have been providing administrative assistance and translation work since this fiscal year, and next year we will focus on creating a place for students to participate in event planning and management, as well as providing a place to gain an international sense. We are also planning to hold new events that students will come up with.

I would like to contribute to the development of SASEBO, which is easy for many foreigners to visit.
