Football: Kubasaki turns tables on Kinnick to improve to 3-1

YOKOSUKA NAVAL BASE, Japan – A week after being humbled on its home field for its homecoming game, Trajon Weaver and Kubasaki repaid the favor at Nile C. Kinnick.

The junior quarterback threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more as the Dragons spoiled the Red Devils’ homecoming, beating Kinnick 26-20 seven days after Kubasaki lost to the Red Devils 41-20 on Okinawa.

“We went back to break down the film and look at what we did wrong,” said coach Tony Alvarado of Kubasaki, which improved to 3-1, while the Red Devils fell to 2-2.
