Exchange and Unilever are awarding $2,000 college scholarships to 10 students

Yokota Air Base – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service and Unilever are recognizing excellence in community service among students in sixth through 12th grade.  

From March 27 to April 30, students with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) can enter the Unilever Rewards of Caring contest by submitting an essay in English detailing why their community and their involvement in community service projects are important to them.

“Members of the military community, from the oldest to the youngest, have an attitude of service,” said Yokota Exchange General Manager Julia Woods. “There are a lot of wonderful students at Yokota who serve the community, and we hope one of them will be among the winners of this contest.”

Entries must be postmarked by May 1 and received by May 15. No purchase necessary to enter. Entrants must be authorized Exchange shoppers as either members of the military or as a spouse or child of military personnel.
