YOKOTA AIR BASE —The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is inviting Airmen, families, Department of Defense contractors and civilian visitors to the grand re-opening of Yokota Air Base Burger King.

Distinguished guests will join local Exchange leaders in cutting the ribbon on the newly updated facility April 24 at 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy complimentary cake as part of the festivities. T-shirts and gift cards will be handed out from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Shoppers can get a free soft-serve in a cup with every large combo meal, while supplies last. There will be drawings on Facebook Live as well as on-the-spot drawings for great Exchange prizes.

The Yokota Exchange Burger King has been under renovation for two months, with updates focused on providing diners a modern and comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Shoppers will notice new floors, seating and additional TVs. The kitchen also upgraded its appliances. The restaurant also features a drive-thru for those on the go.

“The Yokota Exchange is pleased to offer convenient dining options to Airmen and families, as well as to civilian visitors and workers,” said Exchange General Manager Shinobu Matsui. “All are welcome to dine in with us or grab a quick bite to go—no need to leave the installation for meals.”

All of the Yokota Exchange’s restaurants offer better-for-you menu choices featuring reduced-calorie entrees. At Burger King, diners can substitute fries for a side salad with any combo meal at no extra charge. On Wednesdays, all entrée salads are $2 off.

The Yokota Exchange Burger King is at Bldg. 415 and is open 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Saturday – Sunday. For more information, call 214-261-2071.

Guidelines on who is authorized to use Yokota Exchange operations are prescribed by Air Force Instructions 34-211 (I) and the Armed Services Exchange Regulations, Department of Defense Instruction 1330.21.
