CAMP ZAMA, Japan - To boost total force readiness and physical health, the Yano Fitness Center at Camp Zama will launch 24-hour access Sept. 21, giving Soldiers, families, and civilians the flexibility to train on their own schedule.

For service members on non-standard shifts, expanded availability eliminates operational barriers.

“It really benefits those working around the clock,” said Sgt. Michael Floyd, assigned to the 88th Military Police Detachment. “There are a lot of people here with unpredictable schedules, so this allows us to get after it at any time.”

The initiative also delivers tactical benefits for emergency responders.
