Wasp Sailors win ship handling competition

SASEBO, Japan (Dec. 13, 2018) - Lt. j.g. Joseph Cleary, from Orrtanna, Pennsylvania, assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), receives the Junior Officer Ship Handler of the Year award from Capt. Jim McGovern, commander of Amphibious Squadron 11. The competition was hosted by CPR 11 and included USS Ashland, USS Germantown and USS Green Bay to see which ship had the best bridge team.
