As we are approaching summer, lilies bloom here and there alerting us to the changing of seasons. Next time you spot the flowers with white petals and distinct aroma, try this phrase.

“Yuri Wa Yoi Kaori Ga Shimasu,” means “Lilies smell nice.”

(“Yuri” – lily, “Wa” – a proposition to put after a noun which functions as a subject, “yoi” – good/nice, “kaori ga suru” – smell )

Ok, stay safe and see you all in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
