VIDEO| Speakin’ Japanese Lesson: Congrats, grads!

June is graduation season, so congratulations to all the graduates!

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve graduated from school, but my secondary and post-secondary diplomas always remind me of my multiple graduations. And, even today, I am still very proud of my accomplishments.

As I remember my own graduation and think about yours, I want to use today’s Japanese phrase to congratulate you. And, if you have special people in your life graduating this year, practice this phrase to congratulate those grads.

Today’s phrase is:
“Sotsugyo omedeto.” = Congratulations on your graduation.
(“sotsugyo” = graduation, “omedeto” = congratulations)

Stay safe and “SOTSUGYO OMEDETO!!”
