Stay home and speak Japanese!

Now that summer is here, are you ready for the heat? It’s time to be careful about our outdoor activities and drink lots of water.

Let’s practice a new phrase:

“Natsubate ni makenai karada wo tsukuri masho,” which means “Let’s stay in shape and beat the summer heat.”

(“Natsubate” – summer heat, “makenai” – not losing, “Karada wo Tsukuri Masho” – let’s build up/ stay in shape)

Repeat after me: “Natsubate ni makenai karada wo tsukuri masho.”

OK, let’s eat right, work out, and beat the summer heat.

See you in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
