Soldiers from 47th Combat Support Hosiptal, 17th Field Artillery Brigade and 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team take some time off from training to get out and embrace the rich culture of Japan during Orient Shield 19 Sept. 19, 2019, Kumamoto, Japan. The cultural day gave soldiers a chance to experience Kumamoto, Japan and increase their friendship and mutual trust with their Japanese counterparts. OS 19 is a premier U.S. Army and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force bilateral field training exercise that is meant to increase interoperability by testing and refining multi-domain and cross-domain concepts.
