USS Ronald Reagan celebrates Black History Month at Yokosuka NB
YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 24, 2022) Capt. Fred Goldhammer, middle, commanding officer of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), Command Master Chief Christopher King, left, and Lt. Cmdr. Joe Appleby, cut a cake in celebration of Black History Month on the aft mess decks. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
