YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan - Following the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, USO Yokota has returned to its normal operational hours, effective June 29, 2020.

USO Yokota celebrated this triumphant day by providing the community with free pizza and movie kits.

Six feet apart, members of the Yokota community waited to receive their pizzas and movie kits to-go.While festivities were in full swing, kids could be seen dancing to music and parents expressed their gratitude for the USO’s return to normal hours.

While the USO is back to regular hours, Monday - Saturday 10 a.m.- 10 p.m., guidelines put in place by the CDC are still to be followed, including the use of a face mask.

USO Yokota made several operational changes to adjust to the impact of the COVID pandemic. Here are some of the ways the center continued to show support to the Yokota community:

-Provided snacks, movies, dinners, and activities that military members and their families could take to-go.

-Supported quarantined troops and families by making care packages to keep them entertained.

-Kept the community entertained with virtual events including painting nights, story time, pump and ponder, and wind down Wednesday.

Located in building 327, USO Yokota welcomes everyone to stop by anytime Monday - Saturday 10 a.m.- 10 p.m.
