After a little over a month of rainy days, Okinawa is finally moving on to the next season. As of June 20, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has declared the rainy season to be over 13 days earlier than last year.

This year, the season started on May 4 and the JMA detected a high-pressure system heading toward the island which will keep the weather ideal for outdoor summer activities. As of June 21, the forecast predicts that it will be mostly sunny but partly cloudy on the island over the next six days, with the highs over the mid-80s and lows around the lower 80s.

Grab your sunscreen and make plans to soak up the sun and hit the beach!
