"Sea Knights" of Helicopter Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 embark USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6)

SASEBO (Jan. 13, 2018) - Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Ian Divad directs the landing of an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Sea Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). HSC-22 is embarked on Bonhomme Richard as the ship prepares for an upcoming scheduled deployment. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
