NAF Atsugi Leadership Raise American Flag on Mount Suribachi
IWO TO, Japan (Nov. 9, 2015) Sailors, assigned to Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, salute while raising the American flag on Mount Suribachi on Iwo To (Iwo Jima) island. The Sailors visited the island to honor the sacrifice of service members from both nations and to raise an American flag on Mount Suribachi, to be flown for Veteran’s Day celebrations and other World War II related events.
