The Installation Exchange will mark the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s 131st anniversary and legacy of serving those who serve with cake cutting ceremony on July 24 at the BX.

From 1200 to 1300, the Misawa BX will host Balloon Darts, Food Sampling, Tast Testing and Meet the Managers and more. The Misawa BX will kick off celebrations with a cake cutting at 1200.

“For 131 years, military families have turned to the Exchange for comfort and care,” said General Manager Michickia Carter. “This event is a chance to celebrate the Exchange’s commitment to Warfighters and to thank every member of the military community.”

Since the Department of War’s General Order No. 46 directed commanders to establish post exchanges in 1895, the Exchange has constantly evolved to function as a force multiplier for the Nation’s military.

Authorized Misawa shoppers can contact BX or visit Misawa BX’s Facebook or Instagram for more information.
