Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 7, 2019) – Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Jonathan Hayes, right, assigned to Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka’s security department, has a simulated tourniquet applied to his arm by Sgt. Koki Kubota, assigned to the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force’s 13th Infantry Regiment, during Exercise Guard and Protect 2019, a bilateral agreement between the United States and Japanese governments, onboard FLEACT Yokosuka. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
