Did you know?: Olympic Games in Japan

Japan has hosted the Olympics three times in the history – Tokyo (summer) in 1964, Sapporo (winter) in 1972 and Nagano (winter) in 1998. And, as you know, Tokyo was chosen to host the 2020 Summer Games, but due to COVID-19, the games will be held in 2021. Tokyo was also chosen as the site for the 1940 summer games, but those, along with the 1944 games, never happened because of World War II.
