Changes made to road tax collection process on Okinawa
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Mobile Road Show for the road tax has been cancelled, base officials announced.
The Joint Service Vehicle Registration Office (JSVRO) will not accept in-person payments from SOFA members this year. Instead, Y-plate vehicle owners should make payments at their on-base insurance offices. A/Yellow Plate/Mini-Cars can process the payment at respective city hall offices. Payment must be made by June 1.
Take note, don’t forget to pay your road tax and get your new decal!
