CFAY hosts twitter followers’ tour of PAWS

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 27, 2019) - Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY)'s Public Affairs Office Japanese Public Affairs and Media Relations Team hosted a tour of the Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS) CFAY-based animal shelter for five Japanese from the local community. The opportunity to participate in the tour was offered on CFAY's Japanese Twitter (
), and it was held to show the activities of PAWS and how the organization continuously looks for forever homes of stray or surrendered pets on base or off base. PAWS' mission also includes efforts to trap, shelter, neuter, and release to help control the animal population on the base. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
