Camp Zama and SFHA to host Trick-or-Treating on Oct. 31
Halloween 2017!
Halloween 2017 is finally here! Typically a big event in the Camp Zama and SFHA communities, children and adults alike dress up and play pretend, while going door-to-door asking the famous question… “trick-or-treat?”
Halloween in Japan is getting more and more popular each year. Every year when Camp Zama/SFHA open the gates to our neighbors and external community members, more and more Japanese families share in our tradition of “trick-or-treating”.
Trick-or-Treating will be Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. on Camp Zama and Sagamihara Family Housing Area installations. (See below for escort procedures)
Escort Procedures for Halloween Day:
Guest passes for Trick-or-Treating must be processed in advance due to anticipated crowds and traffic congestion at Sagamihara Family Housing Area and Camp Zama main gates.
SOFA members:
Submit USAG-J form 1529 and 1529-1 no later than Oct. 31, 2017 by 3:00 p.m. Up to 7 adults and no more than 3 children (under the age of 18) per adult and up to two guest vehicles. Children must be listed on Form 1529. Guests need to show their passes and valid IDs for gate access to the event.

NOTE: Please indicate whether your guest passes are for Camp Zama or SHA. Requests must be picked up from Pass Offices Monday thru Friday:
Camp Zama: 7:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., 12:45 – 4:30 p.m.
SFHA: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Local National Employees:
Submit USAG-J form 1529 / 1529-1 by 3:00 p.m. by Oct. 31, 2017.
Up to 5 adults and no more than 3 children (under the age of 18) per adult and 1 guest vehicle. Children must be listed on the 1529. Guests will need to show their pass & valid ID at the gate upon entry. USAG-J Form 1529 must be processed in advanced of the event.

Authorized Forms of ID:
- Japanese driver’s license (must know PIN) Japanese only
- Valid passport (Japanese or non-Japanese personnel can use passport)
- Japan Self-Defense Forces ID card
- Local national student ID card (for junior high or high school students)
- Residence card (New Alien Registration card)
- Special Permanent Resident Certificate (foreign nationals)
- Valid Alien Registration Card
- Any ID card Issued by the Government office of Japan
- My Number Card with photo
A combination of proof of “Honseki” (either “Juminhyo” or “Koseki-shohon”) and a Japan driver’s license (if you do not know your PIN), “Juki” Card or My Number Card can be accepted for access.
* A parent or legal guardian who is in possession of one of the above listed valid forms ID must accompany children under 12 years old.
