TOKYO, Japan -- U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Johnathan Marker, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels operation section chief, represented the 374th Airlift Wing during the presentation of the Group Meritorious Honor Award at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, Dec. 19.

The Meritorious Honor Award is presented to groups or individuals in recognition of a special act or service, or sustained outstanding performance.

U.S. Ambassador to Japan William F. “Bill” Hagerty IV presented the award to the 374th AW, Camp Zama, and Naval Air Facility in Atsugi for their support during numerous VIP visits, to include the most recent visit by Vice President Michael Pence and his wife, Karen, in November.

“The U.S. Embassy and our neighboring Defense colleagues throughout Japan have a long history of teamwork, collaboration and cooperation,” Hagerty said. “So, I am delighted to be able to honor three individuals from the 374th AW, Camp Zama, and the Naval Air Facility in Atsugi. Thank you for your enduring support!”
