31st MEU Marines, Sailors graduate Corporal’s Course aboard the USS Germantown

31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

GUAM (March 5, 2020) - 1st Sgt. Wesley Carter, company first sergeant with Charlie company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), dismisses Marines and Sailors with the 31st MEU upon their completion of Corporal’s Course Professional Military Education aboard the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42). Corporal’s Course is a leadership program designed to further develop middle level Marine leaders. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
