Heidi Murkoff, author of best-selling What to Expect book series, recently visited the Pacific Region on her 2018 USO Special Delivery Tour. Traveling to Hawaii, Okinawa, Korea, Japan, and Guam, Heidi and the USO Pacific Team co-hosted over fifteen baby showers, reunions, and hospital visits. More than 1,000 service members and their families were touched by this unique program, which provides a touch of home for moms-to-be and dads-to be, who are often away from their families, friends, and support networks. Through the generosity of the What to Expect Foundation and various USO Sponsors, participants enjoyed games, raffles, Q & A with Heidi, book signing and walked away with filled gift baskets.

What people are saying:
“No connection is more important to family. Through Special Delivery, Heidi and Erik [Murkoff] have loved thousands of new Moms and Dads who are separated from grandparents, aunts and uncles, and siblings during one of life’s most important events—the birth of a child. Heidi’s passion for military families brings joy and a sense of community to new parents separated from their loved ones,” - USO Pacific Region Vice President, C.K. Hyde.
