Take your Easter celebration to Tokyo Disney parks
Spring is in full swing and as the cherry blossom front starts its decent to the north, Easter is right around the corner. Although it is a religious holiday, there are many different ways to celebrate Easter, which falls on April 21 this year, in Japan.
Not sure what your plan is yet? Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea just kicked off its Easter celebration with many fun activities your entire family will enjoy.
The 60-day Easter-themed special events run through June 2, so there will be plenty of time to check it out.
Below are some of the highlights from Disney’s holiday celebration:
Enjoy a 25-minute special greeting from Mickey and Minnie as they cruise on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor. The pair will be joined by “Usapiyos,” a new character, as well as other classic characters. Mickey, Minnie and their friends have opened an Easter funfair with a dance contest performed by unique entertainers.
The show includes five boats and is performed three times daily by about 130 Disney characters.
Usatama on the Run!
A main attraction making its return after a two-year hiatus, this 45-minute parade features the Disney Friends and the bunny-eared egg characters, “Usatama.” These egg characters hatch from the parade and escape into the park. The parade includes seven floats and a selection of carts and performed two times daily by about 90 Disney characters.
