Staff Sergeant Karla M. Freeling is currently the Non-Commissioned officer in charge of the Contingency Support Cell. She serves as the Unit Deployment Manager and Unit Training Manager for the 374th Contracting Squadron, 374th Airlift Wing, Yokota Air Base. SSgt Freeling develops and manages the unit’s contingency contracting program and plans/coordinates exercise operations for 28 personnel. 
 
Additionally, SSgt Freeling serves as a readiness liaison between the Pacific Air Force Installation Contracting Agency and Yokota Air Base regarding contingency operation planning. She manages Unit Type Code tasking’s from higher headquarters and all ancillary training programs that support mobility capabilities. 
 
Her major awards and decorations include; Air Force Commendation Medal (one Oak Leaf cluster), Joint Service Achievement Medal, AF Good Conduct Medal (two Oak Leaf cluster), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (two Campaign Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal, NATO Medal.
