SASEBO, Japan (Dec. 12, 2017) - Masuo Takasaki holds up a thank you card given to him by children at the Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo Child Development Center Dec. 12, 2017. Takasaki made his annual trip to the CDC to give a holiday gift of book coupons to purchase bilingual children’s books and play with the center's children. Raised in a Nagasaki orphanage, when he was 10 Takasaki visited a U.S. Navy ship around the holidays where Sailors gave the children presents and played with them. He has been bringing gifts to CFAS CDC since 1999 in return.
