Nanjo presented resented meritorious service medal

CAMP ZAMA, Japan -- Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Col. Mamoru Nanjo was presented the Meritorious Service Medal during an award ceremony here Dec. 22.

Colonel Stephen J. Grabski, deputy commander of U.S. Army Japan, made the presentation.

Nanjo received the award for his service while serving as the Ground Staff Office liaison officer to USARJ from Aug. 1 2014 to July 31, 2016.

The citation recognized his professional expertise, dedication to duty and commitment to bilateral cooperations between the members of JGSDF and USARJ.

Nanjo's wife, Saori, was also in attendance for the ceremony.
