USS Ashland Departs Sasebo for Final Readiness Drills, Regional Patrol

Japan (March 8, 2018) Quartermaster 3rd Class Victoria Rosario, from York, Pa., stands watch on the starboard side bridge wing as the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) prepares to depart Sasebo.

Following a final amphibious certification, Ashland is schedule to conduct a routine patrol in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
