Yokota Airman killed in on-base vehicle accident

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan – Airman 1st Class Issac Colligan, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle accident on the south runway overrun at Yokota Air Base Oct 16, 2016.

Yokota first responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the accident.  

During his time at Yokota, Colligan worked for the 374th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

“Team Yokota is united in supporting A1C Colligan’s friends and family,” said Col. Ken Moss, 374th
Airlift Wing commander. “His loss leaves a deep scar, but we will come together in this time of mourning, honor and cherish our memories of him and begin the painful process of healing."

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
