The Sullivans School Students Honored As Published Authors in the Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans® Several Sullivans Elementary School students were recently notified that their poems were chosen for publication in the 2016 Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans®. The students chosen are members of Mrs. Pamela Ashley’s gifted Discovery Workshop. Included are Dominick Cestaro, Allyssa Sapiot, Kaylee Kong, Hayley Heard, Chloe Bogen, Claire Bogen, Shannon Pegher, Lauren Pegher, Sara Joo, Lauren Juntunen, Kylee Petter, Hana Baldwin, Liam Boyd, Akiva Senthill, Francheska Asuncion, Robert Hunter, Justin Minimo, Isabella Quinones, Kaden Emley, Leyna Hicks, Michael Joyce and John Dickey.
The Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans® provides a forum through which selected young authors can see their work and the work of other students published in an actual book. Students in grades K – 12, write the poems selected for publication. Submissions are received from young poets who live throughout the United States. The Anthology of Poetry, Inc.’s editors review each submission. Works are selected for publication based upon their originality, rhythmic sounds, rhymes and audience appeal.
