In Shibuya and want a place to rest your feet or for a quick business meeting? Need to kill time for waiting your perpetually late friend? Not as easy as it may sound, as most coffeeshops in the area will have long queues.

The new Coin Station lounge on the first two floors of Tokyu Plaza in Shibuya is such a simple concept, it’s a wonder it hasn’t been thought of before. ¥100 buys you ten minutes in the space, where you can charge your phone, use the Wi-Fi, rent an iPad, enjoy self-service soft drinks or bring in your own food. Parents can pop in to use the diaper changing station, nursing room or kids room.

Get an extra five minutes for your coin during the current grand opening campaign.

Open daily 9am-10pm. 1-2-2 Dogenzaka.
