Did you know?: The Japanese’s top travel destinations in 2017
The Japanese’s most popular overseas destination for this past summer was Shanghai, followed by Korea, Spain, Taiwan and Hawaii. As for the domestic destinations, Mount Tateyama (Toyama) was the most popular, which was followed by Nagano, Shikoku Island, Niigata and Kyoto, according to the Japan Traveler’s Bureau. The summer may have already passed, but it’s never too early to start planning that next trip while you’re located in Japan.
