Two years ago Design Festa took Japan's art world by storm with an all new, never-before-seen event: All Student Art Festival GAKUTEN, the art festival for and by the next generation of emerging talent.

This summer, Japan's greatest international student artist festival is back with an all new twist: the first-ever collaboration between Asia's largest art event and Japan's largest student art festival: Design Festa SUMMER + GAKUTEN 2016!

The largest art festival in Asia, Design Festa is more than a place to behold original artwork. Exhibitors are limited only by their own creativity, and the event has boasted a censorship-free environment for painters, fashion designers, singers, dancers, illustrators, photographers and more since 1994.

This collaboration of two art festivals under one roof will feature over 5,000 artists from 13 different countries, 20 live performances, live music, live painting, interactive workshops, official exhibitions by dozens of art and design universities and so, so much more!

No where else in Japan or the world can you meet, greet and interact directly with so many different artists in one location. From the buying and selling of photography, illustrations and accessories to never-before-seen works of art taking shape right before your eyes on giant canvases, there is something for absolutely everyone during this two-day celebration of freedom of expression.

Date: August 27th(sat) and 28th(sun), 2016

Venue: Tokyo Big Sight, West Halls #1+2

Entrance Fee:
800 JPY/day in Advance
