M.C. Perry Elementary  marked the nineteenth annual celebration of reading and Dr. Seuss's 112th birthday on March 2nd along with the  estimated  45 million children and adults who celebrate the joy of reading on this day.

Marines and parents volunteered to read to the students and help with Dr. Seuss activities. The students had a special assembly to hear The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss read by Mrs. Pushart. She also read How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Family Reading Night. Mrs. Pushart is a mom, Marine wife, teacher, and a very creative and talented lady. The students had a memorable day!
