Humphreys gets first win by blanking Zama
CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea – After defeats in their first two games by a 63-18 margin, Miles Brice and David Key helped spark Humphreys to its first win of the season.
Brice rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another and recorded six tackles and an interception, while Key ran for a touchdown and caught a pass for another as the Blackhawks turned things around with a 40-0 romp over Zama on Saturday at Blackhawks Field.
“Execution. It’s amazing what happens when they execute the way they were taught,” Blackhawks coach Steven Elliott said. “It all came together tonight. They decided they wanted to play and they did exactly what they could do all along. They were proud of themselves.”
Brice went 7-for-11 for 111 yards and the TD pass to Key. Brice only gained seven yards on three carries, but two of them were for scores. Key ran 11 times for 194 yards and a touchdown and also had a two-point conversion.
