Far East High School Tennis Tournament
 
Proponent — Department of Defense Education Activity-Pacific.
 
Dates and site — Wednesday, Nov. 7-Saturday, Nov. 10, Risner Tennis Complex, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa.
 
Host — Kadena High School, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa.
 
Organizer — Ed Thompson, Kadena High School.
 
Format — Boys and girls singles and doubles, mixed doubles, single-elimination. Each team carries four boys and four girls on its roster; each player must play doubles and may choose to play either singles or mixed doubles.
 
Schedule of events — Meet and greet and pre-tournament coaches’ meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kadena High School. First matches begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Singles and mixed doubles, first two rounds, on Wednesday. Doubles play begins Thursday. Quarterfinals scheduled for Friday with championship matches Saturday, depending on weather. Closing ceremony at 4 p.m. or following conclusion of last championship match.
