Yokota Officers’ Spouses’ Club to host a Holiday Asian Bazaar on Nov. 15-16
Looking for that special something to decorate your home or hoping to get an early jump on your Christmas shopping, then head over to Yokota for its Holiday Asian Bazaar in November.
Hosted by the Yokota Officers’ Spouses’ Club, the bazaar will be held Nov. 15-16 at Hangar 15 on Yokota Air Base. It will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 16.
The bazaar, open to all SOFA personnel and their families, gives you your pick of Japanese and Korean antiques, Asian furniture, home décor, jewelry, Kokeshi dolls, kimonos, obis, yukata and jinbei, local and regional handmade crafts. There’s over 50 booths to check out, so give yourself plenty of time to shop.
And, of course, there will be food booths run by local private organizations. Tama Hills will be outside Hangar 15 with a Beer Garden. Santa Claus will be available for photo’s.
Check our Facebook page (Yokota Officers’ Spouses’ Club Asian Bazaar) for opportunities to be included in door prize drawings and volunteer to help out during the bazaar.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the bazaar go back in to our community, base organizations, the Air Force community and even our Japanese community. Last year the YOSC gave out over $72,000 to the community, including almost $20,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and spouses pursuing higher education degrees.
The YOSC is comprised of both military officer and civilian equivalent spouses. The purpose of the YOSC is to promote a spirit of unity through the provision of social, cultural, and welfare activities among members.
So come out and enjoy the fun – and purchase some great stuff – at our Holiday Asian Bazaar!
