Senior Airman Brendan Kinser, 374th Civil Engineer Squadron pavements and equipment journeyman, waits for a C-130J Super Hercules to take off prior to driving on the flight line, Nov. 15, 2017, at Yokota Air Base, Japan.

Every year the 374 CES repairs, on average, about 125 spall patches, which are areas of degraded runway measuring less than two square feet.
