Tomodachi Lanes bowling center located at Yokota Air Base concluded the first ever “Bowler of the Year” program Aug. 31. Staff Sgt. Marcus Hines from the 374th Civil Engineering squadron was the winner in the “Scratch division” (180 Avg and above) while Akemi Nishizawa was the winner in the “Classified division” (179.99 Avg and below). Both bowlers were recognized in front of their peers by 374 FSS Director Paul Keenan for their outstanding achievement.  Both received a $500 FSS Gift Card along with a nice trophy and will have their photos prominently displayed on the bowling centers “Wall of Fame” for the year.

The “Bowler of the Year” program is solely based on a person’s support of the facility. All bowlers, whether in a league or open, gain points by joining leagues, tournaments or other programs within the facility. In addition, they can gain points by purchasing our Tomodachi logo’ed towels and etched drink glasses.
