Talented Ladies Prepare for Big Night
Some of the most brilliant gems at Yokota Air Base have been rehearsing all week for the Mrs. Sakura and Miss Teen Sakura Scholarship Pageant. They will take the Taiyo stage Saturday, May 3rd at 6:00 p.m. to compete for scholarship money and other amazing prizes. The contestants will be scored on how well they can interview, how healthy they are (body, mind and heart), and how poised they can be walking on stage and answering a random question. In addition to the judges' decisions, the audience can choose its favorites by voting with cash/yen - each contestant will have a bag set up at the concession stand in which to cast votes. Come out and join the fun at the event themed "Fire and Ice" for the ravishing rubies in the teen category and the dazzling diamonds in the spouse category. Price for the event is only $2 per adult and $1 for students, with children under 5 free.
In addition, the little ladies in the Cherry Blossom Princess and Cherry Bud Princess Pageant will wow the audience at their 1:00 p.m. show. This event, called "Sugar and Spice," will also be at the Taiyo.
