NAVAL AIR FACILITY ATSUGI, Japan (Dec. 13, 2017) - Leadership from the U.S. Navy and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) with members from the local community crack open a sake barrel as part of the annual JMSDF Commander, Fleet Air Wing Four mochi-tsuki (rice pounding) event. Mochi-tsuki events in Japan are traditionally held to mark special occasions, especially the New Year.
