MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Misawa recognizes Boy Scout Troop 14's newest Eagle Scout Shawn Singleton at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Dec. 15, 2013. Shawn joined Scouts in 2011 and showed how highly motivated he is by accomplishing Eagle Scout in three years. Overall Shawn had to earn 21 merit badges including: Citizenship in the Community, Wilderness Survival, and Personal Fitness. In 2012, around seven percent of all Boy Scouts earned the Eagle Scout Rank.
