YOKOSUKA, Japan (Oct. 15, 2007) - A search and rescue (SAR) swimmer, assigned to the Chargers of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 14, jumps from an HH-60H Seahawk during SAR training at Fleet Activities Yokosuka. During the training evolution, SAR swimmers are dropped from a helicopter to rescue a victim, and then both are lifted back into the aircraft. HS-14 is based in Atsugi, Japan. Here's a link to a fascinating video sent in from Lt. Scott Kellerman from the HS-14 Chargers of NAF Atsugi, commemorating HS-14's 2012 "Last Ride" cruise on board USS George Washington, ending 18 years of time stationed at NAF Atsugi, attached with Carrier Air Wing FIVE. The squadron will be tansitioning to NAS North Island in March 2013.

The 20-minute-long footage will get  you a glimpse of what they do and the awesome sceneries they get to see.
