Good Day, Sasebo! CFAS is asking for your support for an upcoming community relations effort called the "Lights Down Campaign 2014." Our host city encourages our joint participation in one of their annual environment conservation initiatives on June 21 (Summer Solstice) and July 7. We encourage all facilities across the installation, families in housing areas, and Sailors in town to turn off the lights for two hours (8 - 10 p.m.) during these Special Campaign Days. The Sasebo City Ministry of Environment conducts the national campaign to turn off lights of illuminated facilities and household lights every year to recognize how much we are using lights in our daily life. CFAS community support is greatly appreciated. Please help us spread the word to join your Japanese neighbors in the Lights Down Campaign 2104!
