ZAMA CITY, Japan -- One hundred forty Japanese employees were honored at this year's Length of Service Awards ceremony Oct. 26 at Zama City's Harmony Hall.

The 140 were present as each was awarded a certificate for 10, 20 or years of service to the U.S. forces.

South Kanto Defense Bureau Director General, Mr. Toru Hocchi, and U.S. Army Japan commander, Maj. Gen. James F. Pasquarette, were the senior officials attending the ceremony and presented certificates and respective pins to the honorees.

Thirty one received 10 year service pins, 81 were presented 20 year pins, and 28 received 30 year pins in addition to their certificates.

This year 227 employees were honored, but several were unable to attend.
